Tenuta La Lucchina – La Lucchina Estate – was once owned by the Massimo family but since the 19th century has been the property of the Colonna di Paliano family. It was the summer residence of Don Prospero Colonna, Duke of Rignano and Prince of Sonnino, Governor and Mayor of Rome at the beginning of the 20th century.
The centre of the Estate, comprising the main villa and various farmhouses, was saved from building speculation at the end of the last century, and its gardens, avenues, facilities and buildings were completely renovated. The houses are still today inhabited by the descendants of Duke Oddone Colonna and by some private owners. A custodian is always present on the farm, to guarantee security and privacy.
The Estate, extending over almost four hectares of entirely fenced land, has a tennis court, and although it is a natural, green oasis of tranquillity, it is situated inside the ring road surrounding the urban area of Rome.
Here it is possible to enjoy farm stays in high-class residences of various sizes for stopovers and short or medium term rental, with various additional services available.
